Ms. Wilma Turtle, of Chetek Wisconsin, died
earlier this year of unknown causes. Her badly decomposed body was
discovered near the Resort Office, at The Pine Park Resort in
Chetek. It is assumed she died of old age.
Services were held 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2003, at
Dundee, Iowa, with the Rev. G.W. Robinson and his Pastoral
Assistant J.D. Gambler officiating. Due to the circumstances of
her death, her body was cremated. Her remains will be scattered on
the sandy shores of her beloved home, Lake Chetek, near The Pine
Park Resort, at a later date, pending the notification of all her
children.
Wilma was hatched many years ago, the offspring of Barney
and Felicia Turtle. She swam the many lakes of Wisconsin, settling
near The Pine Park Resort to raise her offspring. She will be
sadly missed by all of them and fondly remembered by her dear
friends, Marv and Lois Kelm, owners and operators of The Pine Park
Resort.
Wilma is survived by her many offspring, grandoffspring and
great-grandoffspring. She was preceded in death by her parents,
Barney & Felicia Turtle, and probably some of her brothers and
sisters.
