May 3 Through Oct. 4 2008

          22TH ANNUAL FISH-O-RAMA with hundreds of tagged panfish worth from $25 to $100 each. Dozens of tagged panfish worth $500 each. 
         
FISH-O-RAMA UPDATE: At the end of last year's Fish-O-Rama 10/1/2007,
107 of the 409 tagged fish had been caught for a total payout of $7,700 With 10 "big buck" fish worth $500 each.

June Through August 2008

        CHETEK HYDROFLITES WATER SKI SHOW  every Thursday and Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at their show site adjacent to the airport boat landing on Lakeview Drive.

May30-June 1

            CAMERAMA DAYS will be held for three straight days. Street dances with live music, softball tournament, parades, kids carnival, horseshoe tournament, waterfights, car show, & horsepull.

June 6-15

        RICE LAKE AQUAFEST The City of Rice Lake celebrates the return of summer and our good fortune in living here in this beautiful area. The annual Aquafest features several days of national bands, food, fun, softball tournaments, golf tournament, a parade, kiddie parade, kids games, and a carnival.

Chetek Hydroflites Water Ski show (6:30 pre-show: 7 p.m. themed show);  Street dance with live music (8:30 - 12:30)

Friday, July 4

Independence Day breakfast at the Masonic Lodge (7 - 11 a.m.);  Parade (12 noon);  Beach Party with music by THE TWERPS (2 - 6 p.m.) and $500 Liberty Fest button drawing (4 p.m.);  Chetek Hydroflites Water Ski Show (6:30 pre-show; 7 p.m.  themed show);  Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament (begins at 7 p.m.);  Fireworks shot over Chetek Lake at Dusk.

Saturday, July 5

Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament Begins at 8 a.m.,  Fishy Four run/walk at 9 a.m. Vintage Voyagers' Blast From The Past Car Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wisconsin Indian Head Country's Art & Craft Fair 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Horseshoe pitching contest at 11 a.m., Wisconsin Horse Pullers Association Sponsored Horse Pull at noon, Sawdust pile money hunt at 7:30p.m., Street Dance with Live Music from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m..

Saturday, July 5

Get in your airplane and fly in to enjoy the festivities of Liberty Fest in Chetek.  Starting at 9 am is a car show by the Vintage Voyagers car club.  In the park adjacent to the airport is a huge Art and Craft fair and show.  Just one block west of the airport is a professional horse pull, and in the afternoon is a water ski show on the east edge of the airport property put on by Chetek’s own Hydroflites.  There will be plenty of food and drink available throughout the day.  Where else can you fly your airplane and do so many things for the whole family for the entire day all within walking distance of your airplane?  For more info contact Chuck Harrison 715-456-8415 fixdent@chibardun.net   or Tim Knutson 715-237-2477  n3nknut@citizens-tel.net

    Slow Pitch Softball Tournament,( 8 a.m.)  Wisconsin Indian Head Country's Art & Craft Fair (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), Chetek Hydroflites Water Ski Show (6:30 Pre-show; 7 p.m. Themed Show)  

      

July 12

      EIGHTH ANNUAL BREWFEST at Phillips Park (adjacent to the city beach) with live music from 1-6  p.m. Admission is $20 for adults over the age of 21. 

July 12-13

        HERITAGE DAYS at the Pioneer Village Museum in Cameron from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

July 16 - 20

        BARRON COUNTY FAIR at the Fairgrounds in Rice Lake.

July 27

        BONIFEST at St. Boniface Catholic Church with an outdoor Mass at 10 a.m. followed by a charcoal chicken dinner, games and live music.
                                                   

August 1 - 2

       Crazy Days, area businesses selling merchandise on the side walk.

Sunday, August 10, 2008

 Fly-in at Chetek, Wisconsin Southworth Municipal airport (Y23) will have a BBQ fly-in. August 23 - 24

        CHETEK OPEN BASS TOURNAMENT with weigh-ins beginning at 3 p.m. each day at Northwoods Brew Pub.

September 6

       Chetek Harvest Fest featuring  a chili and pie contest, art and craft sale, and an antique car and motorcycle show.
