PURPOSE The purpose of this Association is to preserve and protect the Chetek Lakes and their surroundings, and to enhance the water quality, fishery, boating, safety, and aesthetic values of the Chetek Lakes, as a public recreational facility for today and for future generations. The Chetek Lakes Protection Association, Inc., was first established as a Lake committee in 1985, and became a qualified Association in 1995. The Association is governed by an elected President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Board of Directors — plus nearly 275 dues-paying members. Meetings are held periodically throughout the year with an annual meeting for all members held the first Sunday in August each year. Some interesting facts about our Chain of Six Lakes: Prairie Lake:
