PURPOSE

The purpose of this Association is to preserve and protect the Chetek Lakes and their surroundings, and to en­hance the water quality, fishery, boating, safety, and aesthetic values of the Chetek Lakes, as a public recreational facility for today and for future generations.

The Chetek Lakes Protection Association, Inc., was first established as a Lake committee in 1985, and became a qualified Association in 1995. The Association is governed by an elected President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Board of Directors — plus nearly 275 dues-paying members. Meetings are held periodically throughout the year with an annual meeting for all members held the first Sunday in August each year.

Prairie Lake: 1,534 acres, 25 miles of shoreline, 14,034 acre feet —4.57 billion gallons
Chetek Lake: 769 acres, 7.7 miles of shorelines, 9,992 acre feet — 3.2 billion gallons
Ten Mile Lake: 376 acres, 376 acres, 8.6 miles of shoreline, 2,369 acre feet — 772 million gallons
Pokegama Lake: 505 acres, 11.3 miles of shoreline, 5,322 acre feet — 1.7 billion gallons
Ojaski (Mud) Lake: 577 acres, 8.3 miles of shoreline, 2,460 acre feet — 800 million gallons
